This Privacy and Credit Reporting Policy outlines how Al.ive Body Pty Ltd (ACN 635 011 960) (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, holds and discloses personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“Privacy Act”), and, where applicable, Part IIIA of the Privacy Act relating to credit reporting.

The kinds of personal information we collect and hold may include:

- assessing creditworthiness where applicable;
- managing credit accounts, payments, and debt recovery;
- marketing, advertising and promotional communications;
- improving our services, customer experience, and website functionality;
- analytics and understanding website usage and customer behaviour;
- recruitment, employment and contractor management; and
- complying with legal and regulatory obligations.
If we are unable to collect personal information, we may be unable to provide goods, services, credit, or maintain our relationship with you.

- CRBs, trade insurers, insurance brokers and credit assistance providers (where applicable);

- courts, tribunals, regulators or law enforcement bodies where required;
- entities involved in a business sale, transfer or restructure; and
- other persons or entities with your consent or as required or permitted by law.
We may also disclose personal information to third-party service providers located overseas, including in the United States, where this is necessary to provide our services or operate our business. We take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws.
Credit reporting disclosures
If you fail to meet your payment obligations or commit a serious credit infringement, we may disclose this information to CRBs.
CRBs may include this information in reports provided to other credit providers to assist in assessing your creditworthiness.
You have rights under the Privacy Act, including the right to request that CRBs not use or disclose credit reporting information if you believe you are, or are likely to become, a victim of fraud. You should contact the relevant CRB directly to make such a request.
Direct marketing
We may use your personal information (excluding sensitive information) to send you marketing communications about our products, services, offers and promotions.
You may opt out of receiving direct marketing at any time by contacting us using the details below.
Where permitted, a CRB may use credit reporting information to pre-screen individuals for direct marketing. You may request that CRBs do not use your information for this purpose.
How we hold and secure personal information
We store personal information in both electronic and physical formats. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Access and correction
You may request access to personal information we hold about you by contacting us.
We may require verification of identity and clarification of the information requested. We may charge a reasonable fee for access.
We may refuse access in circumstances permitted under the Privacy Act.
You may also request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information.
